Timothy McCusker

President NEPC

Tim became president of NEPC in January 2026 and oversees the firm’s strategic priorities, long-term vision, and client-focused growth. He joined NPEC in 2006 and began his career in the investment industry in 2002. Prior to becoming president, Tim served as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) overseeing NEPC’s Investment Research, a global team of investment professionals across Private Markets Investments, Public Markets, Asset Allocation, Portfolio Construction, and OCIO. As CIO, he led firmwide investment strategy, including market outlook, key investment themes, and the evaluation of investment strategies, while working closely with clients to construct portfolios aligned with their long-term investment objectives.

Tim serves on NEPC’s executive and management groups and is a member of the marketable investment, private investment, and asset allocation committees. Earlier in his career, Tim served as NEPCs Director of Traditional Research and held asset allocation and manager research roles. Prior to joining NEPC, he worked at Towers Perrin providing actuarial consulting and asset-liability advisory services.

Tim earned his B.A. in mathematics from Colgate University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) designations.
